Great location and friendly staff. Rooms were spacious and nice bathrooms (bathrooms included a bathtub). Their continentalish breakfasts are good (pick 5 items for 15$). Highly recommend. Free parking around back was great bonus.

They don’t tell you when you’re booking that it’s made up of three separate buildings. So I was placed in a building that did not look like the photos posted. That was the only reason I booked it. I was so excited to explore and take photos. But I was out in a plain building that hallways looked like a motel. The room was fine. But I booked it for the building and the experience. Receptionist saw I was crying about it and at first was helpful. Said she’d speak to the managers and that they’d contact me. They never did. Receptionist later answered my call and said it is what it is, you booked on Expedia and they would not be able to help at all. Again, managers never called. I’m pretty sure one of the managers was staring at me when I checked out. She stood there staring, made me uncomfortable, but never spoke a word to me. The room was okay, furniture clearly wobbly and old. Had to call the receptionist twice for hand soap on the bathroom. Some of the toiletries were empty on arrival. Would not recommend. If you do stay, call and ensure you’ll be in the main building otherwise you will be wasting hundreds of dollar. After my initial chat with receptionist. I waited over an hr and never got a call. I asked for soap and went to explore. Didn’t know I needed to wait around after my already waiting around period. Leave the item at the door. Manager never spoke to me at check out. Don’t make it sound like I ignored you. You stood from the back of the office staring at me and being weird. After two days of no contact, I gave up. After waiting for quite a while after check in, with no response, I sent the Management a message through Expedia. Expedia also sent a message with my check in experience. Did they respond at all? Nope. Management is awful here.

Great stay, staff was exceptional, tight parking but spots available behind. Old building so expect some noise from other guests., not enough to stop another visit. VERY close to boardwalk and other amenities. Do not hesitate to reserve your room. Free coffee in the morning was quite nice.

Lovely inn and great for our stay. A tiny bit away from the action; but everything still walkable. We loved the happy hour as well as the common area in the courtyard. Yes there are steps to the rooms; but they were no problem. Room was exactly as described and well maintained. No street noise.

Great hotel with an excellent location and outstanding service. The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout my stay. The rooms are a bit small, but they are clean and comfortable. Overall, a very pleasant experience, and I would happily stay here again.

We stayed at the Halliburton for the first time, buying the Neptune, supper, and room package. We loved our stay - classic old Halifax townhouse, vintage reception/library area, and very satisfying breakfast.

Great shoutout to Max and Saba for all the king help when we arrived. My elderly Mom became ill on our flight in. Max put her to bed and brought in our luggage. Dana went out of her way to help as well…. So amazing!

We had a wonderful one-night stay at The Halliburton while over for a show in the city. Very clean and comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and the perfect central location to easily walk to and from dinner and events. Highly recommend.

Rob and Sue are fantastic hosts. I recently head the please of staying in the hotel and I can honestly say the experience exceeded my expectations in very way. From the moment you walk into the door you can see the care that went into creating the space. The staff was attentive and friendly making sure guests had a great experience. I would definitely recommend staying here! 10/10

Lovely stay in the heart of Halifax. Close to the waterfront and many restaurants, cafes and more. The rooms were spacious and cozy. Parking was included in the back of the hotel.
