Extremely convenient location in Dartmouth Crossing, you can walk to quite a few shops and restaurants. The included breakfast has a nice variety of items, well prepared. My room was lovely because it didn't face traffic, but instead a small green area. The room was large, clean and attractive. It also had the best lounge chair and footstool! SO comfortable, and could seat two people (or one me, all sprawled out). I didn't use the pool or gym, so can't comment on them. All my interactions with staff were lovely.

My husband booked this hotel for our Valentines night out away from kids and home. When we first checked in, there was a line up of people waiting to check in, and 3 employees at the check in stations, however only 2 of them were accepting the guests to check them in, which was kind of annoying, because the other one was just standing there, and not helping with the long line up of guests. When we got to our room, it was clean, except the bathroom floor has some sticky stuff on it, which made me think that the bathroom floor was not mopped before we checked in. We went out for dinner, and then came back to the hotel around 530 pm. We decided to go down to the pool area to see if they had a hot tub. They had a large pool which was really nice, and a big slide with it, which would be great for kids. There was a whirlpool/hot tub in the pool area. We read the Rules before going in to see the time allowed in there for one period of time. One of the rules was that no one under the age of 6 was allowed in there, and no one under the age of 13 was allowed in there unsupervised. There were TONS of kids in the hot tub. 100% under the ago of 6, and under the age of 13 and unsupervised. The whole pool area was screaming children, and no adults to take control. I have a child, and I know that they like to have fun, but when the screeching is going on for 15 mins and a scream that sounds like they are being hurt, it is very annoying, and it made our time in the pool area cut short because of the noise, and also the children under 6 getting into the hot tub, splashing and causing havoc. There isn't any employees to make sure that the guest and their children are following the rules, so it is a free for all. Lastly, we could heard EVERYTHING outside of our hotel room. The doors closing, people walking, talking, toilets flushing, you name it. It was honestly not a great stay, and I will not stay here for a romantic getaway again. I am truly disappointed, as the reviews were great, but it didn't hold up.

We have stayed here in the past and always found everything to our satisfaction. On this most recent visit the fridge in our room froze our food and the conditioner in the shower was empty. These were not major issues since we were only staying for one night. We did report both items to the front desk at our departure. I will say that as a former Certified Pool Operator that the swimming pool does need work. You shouldn’t be able to smell chlorine as soon as you walk in the front door of this property.

The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of Dartmouth Crossing, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and scenic walking trails. My room was spotless, modern, and offered a stunning view over the commercial district, especially magical in the morning when the fog rolled in beneath a clear sky. The staff were friendly and attentive, and check-in was smooth and welcoming. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere and comfortable bed after long days of exploring. I stayed here back in May and it was a very smooth and comfortable experience. The front desk staff were very friendly upon checking in. The general spaces and room was very clean and quite modern. I enjoyed their breakfast selection and the food tasted great. They were very accommodating and allowed me to have a later check out time. Overall a great stay and one of the best Courtyard locations I’ve stayed at!

I am a frequent traveler and a loyal Platinum Elite Marriott member. I have never been charged for checking out early (with advanced notice or without) at any Marriott property and was dismayed to find out that the hotel was not willing to be flexible and forgive the charges for the night I would not be there. I think it's unfortunate that the hotel staff/management chose to stick to rigid rules versus use discretion in my situation. While I will continue to be a loyal Marriott customer, I will not be returning to this particular property for any of my personal or business trips to Halifax in the future.

This was a fantastic stay. The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. It was VERY nice. I would love to stay there again. The staff was very nice and helpful also very friendly and efficient. I give them a 10 out of 10?.

My partner and I had an incredible stay at this hotel. The room was clean, modern, and spacious. We received excellent service at the front desk, but we were especially impressed by our server Mohammad who made our drinks perfectly despite being new to the job. We will be back! :)

Clean room and accommodating staff. The whirlpool was not working properly during our stay, the jets were not working, however the pool was delightful ? Heads up if you're staying overnight on a Friday, the breakfast on Saturday morning features paper plates and plastic cutlery. We will definitely be back!
