One of the most enjoyable experiences I have had anywhere I have stayed. Liz was an exceptional host and breakfast by either her or David was on par or better than any restaurant. The Pebble will always be at the top of my list if I find myself in Halifax again.

There are places you stay, and then there are places you genuinely remember. The Pebble falls firmly into the latter. From the moment you walk through the door, it’s immediately clear how much care, pride, and effort Liz pours into this home. Every detail feels thoughtful — from the beautifully curated interiors and cozy fireplaces to the immaculate rooms, warm lighting, and little touches that make the entire experience feel personal rather than transactional. The house itself is stunning: elegant, peaceful, and full of character without ever feeling pretentious. It strikes that rare balance between refined and genuinely comfortable. You can tell this isn’t just a business to Liz — it’s something she truly cares about, and that energy is felt everywhere. The rooms were spotless, beautifully styled, and incredibly inviting. Sitting by the fire with a glass of wine honestly felt more like staying in the home of someone with impeccable taste than at a traditional B&B. What stood out most, though, was Liz herself. She’s gracious, hardworking, attentive, and clearly dedicated to making every guest feel welcome. Hospitality like this is becoming increasingly rare, and it made the stay unforgettable. If you’re visiting Halifax and want something with warmth, charm, personality, and genuine care behind it, The Pebble is an absolute gem. Highly, highly recommended.

I am staying here at The Pebble for May long weekend and it is truly the most incredible and idyllic place I have ever stayed. I have never felt so at home, I cannot recommend this bed and breakfast enough. Every single inch of The Pebble is curated and thoughtful. FIVE STARS!

The best place you could stay at in Halifax! Elizabeth, her husband David, and their dog patches were the nicest souls we could’ve met in Halifax. You don’t live in a bed and breakfast you live in their home in their space as if you’re long lost friends visiting them. Liz will cook you her excellent omelets and oatmeal and granola and serve it with her custom blend coffee and you’ll wonder why you even considered other options or an Airbnb. In the cold of Halifax’s January winter there’s more warmth in this house than you could ask for! We stayed here for 3 days in the “armview” suite and enjoyed every minute of it. Can’t wait to visit again in the summer.

We had a fantastic stay and couldn’t have asked for a better host. The home is beautiful, warm, and thoughtfully decorated, and we were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our host was incredibly kind and friendly, and the breakfasts each morning were truly excellent. Staying here felt comfortable, relaxed, and full of heart. Halifax in the winter is a hidden gem. The city still feels lively on weekends, with buzzing neighbourhoods, amazing food, and such a great local energy. And the Nordic spas nearby are the perfect winter treat — deeply relaxing and the ideal way to unwind after a crisp day out. We’d absolutely recommend both this stay and visiting Halifax in winter. Cozy, vibrant, and well worth it. We will definitely be visit g again and The Pebble will definitely be where we would stay.

The Perfect Halifax Getaway! We stayed at The Pebble Bed & Breakfast in Halifax and couldn’t have had a better experience. It’s the perfect place to stay if you want to explore Halifax — close to the downtown waterfront and all the main attractions, yet peaceful and tucked away from the busy core. Our hosts were absolutely wonderful — friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The rooms were immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches everywhere. The whole property feels like a luxury boutique hotel. If you’re looking for where to stay in Halifax, especially for a romantic getaway or relaxing weekend, The Pebble Bed & Breakfast is truly the best choice. We’ll definitely be back!

Staying at The Pebble B&B is a glorious experience. Elizabeth is a force of nature and a wonderful person. She is completely welcoming and a wonderful, wonderful hostess. Breakfast was fantastic and the house and rooms even nicer. We cannot recommend a stay more highly…we will certainly be back soon.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Pebble. Liz, our warm and engaging host, made us feel comfortable as soon as we walked in. She served us tea and the most wonderful scones at her kitchen table and then asked us if we had dinner plans. It was late in the day, and we confessed that we didn’t have plans, so she instantly offered a suggestion. Within minutes, we had a plan for our evening and a dinner reservation. Liz gave us a unique way to see Halifax and also facilitated one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten. (And it wasn’t at an expensive restaurant!) The Pebble is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, but it’s also a convenient 30-minute walk to downtown. It’s also a beautiful home filled with lovely paintings from a local artist ( the gallery where Liz bought is another easy walk). Our comfortable room contained a luxurious bed and an expansive bathroom with a large tub, a fantastic shower, and a vase filled with fresh peonies. Our visit was made even more memorable by Liz’s stories. Don’t miss them! If we ever make it back to Halifax, we’ll be booking another stay at The Pebble.

We began our first trip to Nova Scotia with Liz at The Pebble, and were very fortunate to have her and the house all to our ourselves at the beginning of the season. We couldn’t have been happier. The art and decor were stunning, and Liz made delicious breakfasts accompanied by plenty of local information and great conversations each day. Our 4-night stay in the Armview Suite was very comfortable and we enjoyed walks in the neighborhood and days out hiking and sightseeing. We wouldn’t hesitate to return for another stay.
