The property was a true Gem! They accept doggies, they have very clean/modern rooms, exceptional bedding including the pillows. The Marmalade owners are fantastic and were very accommodating, further enriching our experience. Food provided for 'add on' breakfast was great and the views of the ocean and sunsets are amazing, from each of the back decks. Thank you Neil! We will be back.??

Positives - Esthetically, the room was clean and pretty. The view was also wonderful. They left a delicious treat for us and chocolates on the pillow; which was a nice touch. Negatives - I called to book but it went to voicemail, so due to time constraints I had to book online and pay the marketing levy. There was no office to stop by to pay for my room; so unfortunately, the owner woke us up by repeatedly knocking on my door at 8:30 am for payment - even though I could have paid the night before. That was a HUGE issue for me. I work shiftwork and was super tired, and my boys were playing basketball all weekend. We stayed so we could avoid the long drive and be able to sleep in. The bathroom has no heat so it was very cold, and the hot tub was luke warm.

?????????? We absolutely loved our stay at The Marmalade Motel in Sheet Harbour! From the moment we arrived, the owners made us feel so welcome and truly cared for. You can tell how much heart and pride they put into every detail. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and had a private balcony with the most peaceful ocean view. We spent the evening just sitting outside, listening to the water, and soaking in the sunset. ? We added a charcuterie box for our first night and a brunch board for the next morning and both were incredible (and delivered right to our door!). The food was fresh, thoughtful, and beautifully presented. It’s such a cozy, charming place that still feels boutique and special. Perfect for a quiet getaway, and they even host events and offer great specials. If you’re visiting the Eastern Shore, do yourself a favour and stay here. My wife and I had an excellent experience at The Marmalade Motel for one night this past week. A simple check-in experience, comfortable room and beds, and a straightforward experience with real owners who are on site. The views from the rooms are terrific. And, we highly recommend the breakfast/brunch option -- good coffee and enough good food for breakfast and lunch!

Loved the location. Quiet and peaceful with amazing views. Stayed in the very cute llama room which was a delight. Beautifully decorated with comfy beds and lots of pillows. A small kettle would have been a nice addition but other than that the room was perfect! The food at the Marmalade Cafe in Sheet Harbour was great

The sweetest motel in the cutest town! Totally worth the short drive from Halifax for a weekend away. This motel paired with the bakery and pizza restaurant are a worthy pairing and home base to explore the area. The hosts communicated well. The rooms are as pictured. The view is hard to capture and must be seen to be appreciated. We look forward to returning again and wish this family business all the best!

Beautiful location, stayed in the Boho room. Well decorated, lots of space, very clean and the deck off the room afforded gorgeous views! Only downfall was no black out drapes. The room remained quite bright for sleeping. This may not be a negative for some, but we like a dark room for sleeping. The owner was very friendly and available of we needed anything. Highly recommend this Motel!

We cannot say enough about how incredible the experience with The Marmalade has been. Cheryl, Neil & Zoey have gone above and beyond at every step to help us have a magical stay for our anniversary and vow renewal. From recommending a great photographer, to making a custom cake and hosting us for a private dinner for two in their cafe featuring local produce and house made bread and PERFECT steak. We have been floored by the exceptional level of hospitality. Outstanding at every turn and the attention to detail is impeccable (chocolates on our pillows and a hand written note welcomed us to the room and wildflowers in the napkin rings and on the table at dinner) If we could give this experience 6 stars we absolutely would. Thank you so much!
