My husband and I were looking for a place in Peggy’s Cove that had parking right at your room. The Clifty Cove Motel was a great find. Very spacious room with a comfy bed and our room had a sitting area with 2 cozy leather chairs. The motel is right on the water. Only minutes drive to Peggy’s Cove. And a great restaurant (The Finer Diner) just down the road.

Super friendly staff that made check in/out efficient! The rooms are comfortable, very clean and spacious. My family loved the view right on the coast! Located close to Peggy’s cove make sure to book here on your travels!

Ms Renee thank you for staying up late for us! The motel is a true gem in Peggy's Cove. The room was beautiful and faced the ocean. It was clean, comfy and spiffy! It's not a big place and that's ok! It was perfect for us 2 weary travelers. A must stay!

Stayed here one night while visiting Peggy's cove. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view of the ocean. I've never slept so well! I'd highly recommend escaping the crowds of Halifax and relaxing at Clifty Cove.

Tried to avoid this review by reaching out to the property (first). It's been well over a week and no response. Our stay at the Clifty Cove was regrettably the most disappointing hospitality experience we encountered during our travels. Despite giving their team adequate time to respond to the concerns we raised during our stay, we received no acknowledgment or effort to address the issues, some of which included: Trip hazard at office entrance: The 6-inch step into the front desk area presented a safety concern, especially with no signage. After tripping upon arrival, the lack of empathy or response from staff was disconcerting.....one could interpret it as cheeky and disrespectful. Missing amenities: Advertised amenities such as Wi-Fi and housekeeping were not delivered. The Wi-Fi was very sporadic and unreliable, and we returned after a day of excursions to find unmade beds, full trash bins, and no fresh towels. Note~other reviews report the same/similar issues. Cleanliness and maintenance: The room had a musty odor, with damp towels and bedding. The Keurig malfunctioned, and there was no clear way to access clean water without using tap water, which had an unpleasant odor. Staff interactions and service gaps: Our few interactions with staff were flippant and dismissive. Attempts to report issues were met with unavailable personnel and no means of alerting someone at the desk (there is no bell to alert staff that someone is waiting.....not acceptable). Given that we paid $600 for a two-night stay, we expected a much higher standard of hospitality and service—especially in comparison to other properties we stayed at along the East Coast, which offered more competitive pricing, outstanding amenities, better views, and superior hospitality. We believe compensation is not only warranted, but necessary to reflect the discrepancy between the services advertised and those delivered. We decided to stay in Canada for this year's holiday and pump our hard-earned money back into our own economy to support Canadian business owners....motels, retailers, restaurants, farmers, etc.... To the property manager/owner.....you still have an opportunity to resolve this matter.....otherwise you leave us no alternative but to file a dispute with our bank for the amenities that were not delivered.
