Guests frequently praise the spacious, comfortable rooms and the superior location close to downtown attractions, waterfront, and Citadel. The property offers a pleasant 90s-era aesthetic with rooftop amenities and complimentary breakfast, though some guests report unexpected charges regarding cleaning fees and issues with loyalty programs.
I’ve stayed here before and had no issues whatsoever. Unfortunately this time around the parking was an issues because people didn’t have tags. So I was told to park in the reserved parking until I had to move even though I paid 123.00 dollars for parking for two nights (two cars). The worst thing though was we had a good stay but then when we arrived home we received a call from the hotel lobby, stating that they are charging us 20 dollars as the housekeeper wet in and found shampoo all over the bathroom shower wall. I clean Airbnbs and manage the properties and I always clean up before I leave a hotel room. The hotel said they had documentation and pictures from the house keeper. I then asked them to send the proof to my email we are on day 4 (they said they send it right away and by now it’s 4pm and someone else has checked into that room) I got my damage deposit back, and received no emails or proof of the mess. It’s pretty petty to do something like this on the hotel part over 20 dollars when I spent 480 dollars total for two nights with parking plus tax. Not impressed by the service.
A beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious with a small kitchen, the bathroom supplies smells delicious, and the bedding is so comfortable. The Television is a good size and it's placed directly infront of the bed, which is good for late movie nights. The windows are large and let a lot of sunlight in, so there's no need to even turn on the lights once the sun rises. I had to stay in two rooms during my stay due to the need to extend my stay during a snowstorm and both rooms were satisfactory. It has a sauna, complementary water, and free breakfast. A good location as well, because walking anywhere downtown was close to the hotel. Cambridge Suites was worth every dollar for sure.
Just arrived and checked in at the hotel, we booked earlier today, no notice at all about no parking available on site, had to drive around downtown trying to find a place to park that fits a truck. Place is dated which is fine for the cost, but honestly what hotel doesn’t have smart TVs now in their rooms, no one watches cable anymore.
Great location and you can pay for on site parking instead of looking for a garage or street parking. Continental breakfast was clean and good. Rooms were clean and all the staff were friendly.
The staff are friendly. We are taking our breakfast here and people are cool to be with! The place reminds me of thaf 90s vibe and I may say its a definitely place to go back.
We had a long stay on Cambridge suits while we were having work done on our house and got some "free" nights from the loyalty program. Once we called to book those free nights we were informed that the program was ended and they don't have anything in place to guarantee our "free" nights that are gone now. We never an email from them to say anything about the end of the program but we still get lots of advertisement...makes no sense to me! Extremely disappointed!
Beautiful view of waterfront. Sun was setting from hot tub roof top. Rooms were neat, clean and cozy. Staff were friendly and helpful. I like the lemon water station by the front desk. Nice touch. Left a chocolate bar for my birthday in room!
Stayed 5 nights a week ago, found the check-in process very easy and the room was ready for our early check-in. The hotel is very close to the Citadel and an easy walk to the waterfront. Sackville St, is very close and an nice downhill walk. Returning to the hotel was more difficult but I climbed the hill about 4 times during our stay (did I mention that I am 73 with a replacement hip) but I did it. The free breakfasts were good, especially the coffee. The only concern was paying extra for bacon or sausage so I did without, better for me anyway. The concern I had with our last night of our stay, although it was not their fault (a concert) the addressed my concern very quickly and to my satisfaction. Thank you Will. I would definately stay here again. Carl Schurman Ottawa
We had a really nice stay in one of the queen suites. The staff was very polite and attentive (I appreciated the initial phone call to check if we had everything we needed in the room). Good location to walk to the waterfront and citadel (despite the construction which isn’t the hotel’s fault). Everything we needed for breakfast. The rooftop patio had a great view.
Great place to stay! Full breakfast with good choices and coffee was good (I'm super picky). I appreciate lobby coffee and water where I stay. Awesome roof top patio to hang out. Fitness area with hot tub but gets busy, of course! Loved the location to walk to so many places including Pier 21. Staff were all friendly too!
