HFX Airport Hotel was a perfect stay for us. Proximity to the airport is amazing. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Room was a normal size for a hotel, was clean and had everything we needed : fridge, microwave, tv, comfortable chair, coffee machine woth complimentary coffee... Beds were very comfortable. The small bathroom was absolutely not an issue. It was very clean and had complimentary body lotion, soap, shampoo and conditionner. We did not need the airport shuttle nor the long term parking, but the hotel offers both of these services. Indoor pool is quite big and pool area was nice and clean. We did not use the outdoor pool so can't comment on it. Complimentary breakfast was nice. There was a game room with two pool tables, but we didn't get a chance to play because it only opened at 11:00 am. The late check-out was much appreciated (12:00 pm). We will definitely be staying here again in the future if we need quick and convenient access to the airport.

Room is outdated and hasn’t been updated since the 90’s I’d say. Carpet is falling part in the hallways. Fitness facility is non existent and out of order sign on the door, for some time I assume based on the look of the equipment. Room smelled very musty. Attention to detail just wasn’t there, toilet paper roll wasn’t even restocked in the room. Room only has basic cable and no sports channels to watch Bluejays or playoffs. Pool was average. Nothing special. I expected far better of this hotel.

The hotel is old, not well maintained, and frankly, dirty. The good thing about it is its location and the fact that they offer a shuttle to the airport and complimentary parking for 10 days. So it's a good option if you're driving to Halifax to fly somewhere else. The restaurant is not bad (at night). Breakfast was meh.

Great location, friendly staff, awesome deal for parking your car! The only criticism I have is that this hotel is in huge need of a renovation. Outdated rooms and decor, old carpets that are threadbare in spots, stuff like that. Airport shuttle runs twice every hour. Hotel restaurant has varying hours, so make sure to check that out before planning your day. Overall, a good place for a quick overnighter before your flight!

It was great. Loved having a swim. Only thing I didn't like was having no options for the free breakfast. Our flights always seem to leave early. They are open at 5am for breakfast..still not early enough. Be nice to be able to at least grab a muffin

Constructive Feedback: 1. Shower was dry in Room 158- no water. Brought it up to the receptionist, and with a smirky smile she said “I’ll write it down” (I’m guessing she meant she would make a note for addressing/fixing), no apology. 2. Poor customer service from the initial encounter- attendants appeared fatigued, obviously lacking customer service skills. Later, called reception but received no answer. 3. Shuttle leaves 15min to and 15mins after the hour. Today, it was 0522 and still no shuttle. Eventually, the vehicle showed up filled up quick. And bc it is a first-come first-served service, some people were almost left behind (luckily, I believe, the hotel drove remaining passengers in a private car to airport). 4. Overall, a poor lodging experience. Hotel is a bit run down. Carpet kinda dirty/not vacuumed. Some pillows smelled not fresh. 5. Long-term parkade chaotic, felt more like a junk yard Positive Feedback: 1. Complimentary parking In short, will not stay at this hotel again Update 1: Re: Shuttle Called hotel on airport arrival, as advised. Told they would send shuttle right away. Waited 20mins in -16C weather (cold+windy) at the shuttle pick up station. Ended up taking cab back to hotel parking lot. Taxi driver said- this shuttle is consistently unreliable. When I pulled into the hotel parking lot, the shuttle was within property limits. Frustratingly funny

Hotel was in renovation. Some rooms has been renovated like our room no125. It’s a convient location but the services are basic. Our room was clean as in the pictures. Nothing bad to say but nothing spectacular either.

Frankly I was shocked at the level of disregard of the hotel’s upkeep. The doors leading to the various hotel entrances don’t properly work thus creating a security issue. The grounds are littered with cigarette butts. The only advantage to this hotel is that there is a pool table on site and it’s close to the airport. Hopefully a major chain will buy this hotel and force higher standards.

Clean room, with tiny washroom and sink outside of washroom. Decent hotel for a night before your flight, due to proximity to airport. Not an hotel I’d stay for any other reason. Neighborhood is pretty much dead. Staff is polite, but that’s it.
