11 months agoNice cozy room perfect for a couple to spend a romantic weekend by the beach. Nice little bench by the beach you can enjoy a morning coffee/tea watching the waves come in. Spend and evening watching a seal swim around the shore. Got to play a couple games of pool in the common room. I would recommend this place to anyone.

almost 5 years agoPerfect spot for a relaxing getaway. The suites have everything you need and are very comfortable. You fall asleep every night to the sounds of the waves crashing on Lawrencetown Beach. Jane and Cal are extremely friendly and helpful. Given its location, it's a perfect spot to explore the Halifax area and the Eastern Shore (we went to three other beaches during our weeklong stay). Highly, highly recommended.

almost 6 years agoThe only reason I'm giving it a 2 start is because the beach was stunning. Everything else was not very good. Mind you most of the problems were covid restriction related. I didn't like how small the room was and it was also not very sound proof. We could hear other people just outside the suite doors and walking over head. The owner was very sweet but we did not feel like we had enough Privacy. We felt as though we had to sensor ourselves around the owners and even while we were in our suite we were afraid to make to much noise for fear of being heard by the owners and their visiting family from New Brunswick.

almost 7 years agoI had to cancel my reservations due to circumstances that made it difficult to go so I called to change dates. The hotel owner was super inflexible and would NOT let me rebook to another date...or would still charge me a cancelation fee either way!! I have never had this happen before as most hotels accommodate changes based of unknown circumstances in life. Also she will easily rebook that room, being high season. Perhaps she is in need of squeezing money where ever she can. Very disappointing ?

almost 8 years agoPerfect for a vacation next to Atlantic ocean. Wake up, walk to the sandy beach, sunrise, sunset, everything is beautiful and enjoyable from this location. The patio sitting area adds to the comfort if you like to sit and enjoy the ocean waves. Rooms are cozy and comfortable with available shared living/game room. Jane and Cal are wonderful hosts. Our family had a great time and will come back again.
