?I booked this RV campground for a week-long vacation with my friends, expecting the experience promised on their website. Unfortunately, the reality was a complete nightmare and a total scam. ? First, the RV sites are terribly uneven and steep. It was an absolute struggle to level our trailer properly. ?Second, the amenities are grossly inadequate for a campground of this size. There was only ONE shower and just TWO toilets for the entire site. To make matters worse, the tap water had a concerning yellowish tint. ?Third, although their website heavily advertises various boat tours and activities, NONE of these programs were actually available during our entire one-week stay. ?This place charges 1.5 to 2 times more than other nearby campgrounds, yet the facilities are rundown and horribly maintained. The scenic views they advertise on their website are nothing special—you can find the exact same landscapes anywhere in Nova Scotia for a fraction of the price. ?Do not be fooled by their website photos like we were. Absolutely not worth the money. I highly recommend staying elsewhere.

This was, without a doubt, the worst campground experience I have ever had!!!( It was a nightmare!!! ) We booked two campsites for a 3-night stay (costing over $600 in total) specifically to join their fishing and boat tours. Because their website advertised a wide variety of programs, we didn't book any other fishing tours in PEI beforehand. However, only after arriving on our booking date were we informed that the captain was away and no tours would be available until the following Sunday. Had this schedule conflict been clearly stated on their website, we would have canceled our reservation altogether. To make matters worse, despite paying over $600 for two sites, neither was full service. The entire campground provided only two women's toilets and a single shower facility (I cannot speak for the men's facilities as I didn't visit them). When we arrived on the first day, the weather was terrible, making fishing impossible. Because the campground is so remote, traveling to other areas like Halifax for alternative tours requires at least a 2.5 round trip. My dog suffered from severe motion sickness, making it practically impossible for us to drive back and forth like that over three days. On top of that, the tap water was an extremely unsettling yellowish color. We didn't dare use it and had to rely on bottled water even just to wash vegetables. My friend and I used the tap water to wash our faces twice, which resulted in facial rashes breaking out on our faces. We both groups are from Toronto and one group is from MB and we did not want to spoil our trips there. Unable to stay under these conditions, I spoke with the manager early Friday morning to request a partial refund. However, for over an hour, the manager and the owner's mother aggressively denied everything and made excuses. The manager even threatened that they would call the police if we didn't leave immediately. Feeling deeply intimidated and distressed by this threat, I told the manager to go ahead and call the police. When the two police officers arrived and heard our situation, they actually advised us to leave a Google review. Since we were being forced out without any refund or deposit returned, I requested a written memo stating these facts. The police officers even asked the manager on my behalf, but the management refused.( I took the photos of the yellowish water , but do not know how to upload them) I have traveled to tons of campgrounds across Canada, but I have never encountered a place this expensive with such abysmal facilities and terrible service! Honestly, even one star is too generous.

This is a gorgeous, somewhat remote location. There are beautiful beaches and hiking nearby. Access to water for kayaking, paddleboarding is right at the campground - weather permitting. Campsites are a nice size with privacy. There are a few sites that do not have a water view which is a disappointment but the specialness of the camp itself just about makes up for it. Be sure to join in the evening campfire. This is a special spot for sure!

Grabbed a weeknight dinner here with a couple friends after work and honestly it might become a regular thing for us. The patio overlooking the harbour is stunning even on a Tuesday evening when it's not too crowded. We ordered the seafood chowder and it was genuinely one of the best bowls I've had in Halifax, thick and full of actual lobster. Service was warm and relaxed without being slow, which is exactly the vibe you want after a long day.

I tent camped and kayaked and I love this place. Old fashioned in a gorgeous setting. Loved the communal campfire and coffee mornings and crib with Brian. Very friendly and right on the ocean.

Great campground, very clean and comfortable. Beautiful scenic views. If I am ever in the area again I'll definately be coming back. Sounds like some very nice cabin and dome accomodations coming soon. Thank you

An absolutely beautiful, quiet location. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The host was very friendly and accommodating. We can’t wait to visit again and take one of the wonderful boat tours offered. Murphy’s is definitely a Nova Scotia gem and a place to add to your bucket list!! Thank you for a great stay!

My husband and I stayed in one of the domes for a night and we had a great experience. We were concerned about being cold at night but the outside temperature was well below 0, and inside was very comfortable with the wood stove going. The views were spectacular from the dome and from the hiking trail. The staff were easy to communicate with and ensured our winter "glamping" trip was a success! The winterized toilet seat was a real treat too!

It was our first time staying in a geo-dome and glamping, but an awesome 2 night experience. This was February winter glamping at it's finest. We had views of the winter night sky like no other, and we could stare at the stars and constilations while laying on the bed relaxing. The wood stove made it very comfortable as it was needed this time of year when the sun goes down, and also needs to be maintained throughout the night. It is definitely a place for people that are seasoned in an outdoor lifestyle and have no problem going mostly off grid. It was very peaceful and enjoyable and we'll definitely consider going back another time. R&T Nova Scotia

Kajia is super friendly, and we had some really nice and interesting chats about the area and camping in general. The place is very clean and well-maintained, the washrooms and showers are spotless. I loved the campground so much that I ended up adding another night to my stay. It’s peaceful, calm, and surrounded by amazing scenery!
