My family and I took a family trip during the fall to Nova Scotia. This was one of the places we stayed. It is a self check in lodge… I was unaware so I went to the office but was met by the very friendly owner. He showed us to our cabin and explained everything to us, unfortunately, at this time their kitchen is closed for renovations, so you’ll have to find somewhere else to eat for breakfast. It was also during a drought, so we were unable to have a campfire, but when you can, they do have wood for sale and you can use the community fire pit. The fire pit also sits down by a lake that’s next to mountains so it’s an exceptional place to relax. They have grills and picnic tables throughout the site that you can utilize, and the cabins have front porches that you can sit out on and still take in the view. The beds were very comfortable, we had a TV in our room with all apps for movies or shows, our cabin had a little kitchenette, which was a very nice touch, and the bathroom was very clean. I would definitely recommend staying here for your personal or family vacation.

The property has a beautiful view but is in a state of disrepair. The driveway is very ruted and you are unable to drive through it as intended. It does not take much to make me happy and I'm sorry to say, I was not impressed by our room. It smelled strongly of air freshener and spray that was not hiding the misty smell of the cabin. It was a cute little space with a double bed, sofa and small table. The bathroom was tiny with a stand up shower. It was not clean, there was dirt in the corners, spiders in the shower and possibly mold along the bottom of the shower stall. The bed sheets were to small for the bed and would not stay in place. It is quite close to a main road so the traffic noise in the morning was quite loud. I suggest taking a good read if the cancellation Policy before booking. I hope that the new owners put sone TLC into the place because it could be fantastic. The location is fairly close to the city and is located on the Marine Drive trail, which is a beautiful drive.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We did a fairly last minute booking the morning of. Didn’t arrive till close to 9pm, very friendly. Greeted us at the door and walked us to or room and assured us of all info needed. Lovely stay with lots of character to the rooms!!! Highly recommend

Booked and then had to cancel. Spoke to the head person who promised me the cancellation would be taken take of. Although there was some communication issues, it all worked out. New owner is very nice and helpful.

Didn't have neighbors sharing my cabin so it was pretty quiet. Not sure how it would have been if there's been people next door. Cabin was small but comfortable and had a great view.
