Guests overwhelmingly praise the peaceful, secluded atmosphere and excellent customer service, particularly highlighting the private wood-fired hot tubs. The location is frequently described as the perfect balance between quiet nature and convenient proximity to Halifax and local beaches.
We absolutely LOVED our stay here! So peaceful, serene, and a good way to reset. We even had the whole resort to ourselves! Hot tub was so amazing. Definitely will be back!
Stayed 2 nights in the Pine cabin and was very impressed. Enough privacy from other cabins but didn’t feel isolated. A nice beach and trail within 5-10 minute drive and commutable to Halifax and other tourist areas. Cabin was clean and well maintained and had everything we needed! A great place to stay outside of the Halifax area.
Had an amazing weekend here in November. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Hot tub was excellent and very relaxing! They were super responsive leading up to the stay and even had a nice hand written welcome for us! 10/10! We will be back!
I accidentally stumbled upon this place, and I couldn't be happier! From our first quick phone call until I left two weeks later, they were so welcoming and did their very best to accommodate my unexpected arrival, and were just very wonderful hosts! The cabins are very clean and very comfortable with such peace and quiet... I could sit on the porch and just listen to the wind in the trees for hours. I love how close they are to everything, and with Lawrencetown Beach being just a few minutes away and Dartmouth being only a few minutes more, it's a perfect alternative to the overpriced hotels in the city! Not to mention the Wood Fired hot tubs were a wonderful added bonus, and they were even kind enough to preheat it a couple of times while I was out during the day, so it was warm when I returned. It really is wonderful to see a young family taking so much pride in what they do! The next time I'm on the East Coast, I will absolutely be stopping by to stay and see them again! Thanks again for everything!
It was our first time staying at Lawrence town Lodge, but it will not be the last. I was looking for a romantic winter escape for the weekend, and I have fallen in love with their private cabins with private wood-fired hot tubs. The location is a short drive from the city, just far enough to escape the busy city and its suburbs and to see stars in the sky, but still a short trip from the city for winter driving conditions. We arrived during a snow storm and immediately our experience was made better by amazing customer service that really helped us out, I am so grateful!! Our tub was already heating up as a fire had been going, which is important because it takes at least 3 hours to heat up these large wooden hot tubs. We were able to soak and warm up shortly after checking in, and despite a snow storm we were a bit sheltered from the wind surrounded by picturesque evergreens and string lights in our private tub. It's comforting to know that this hot tub is off grid, quiet and kept warm entirely by wood fire (wood is provided), so no matter the weather or situation in Nova Scotia winters, you can still soak and enjoy yourself and stay warm. We stayed in The Birch and it was perfectly cozy, comfortable, romantic and suited all our needs for the weekend.
